〽️YouTube Is Giving Creators More Ways to Improve Videos Before They Publish
At its Made on YouTube event this week, YouTube announced new tools inside YouTube Studio, including expanded Ask Studio on mobile, AI feedback on draft videos, new research tools for finding content ideas, and tools that can generate and test different thumbnails. YouTube is also working toward letting creators test different versions of a video's opening to see which one performs best.
The part that stands out for trade businesses is the ability to get feedback before publishing. Instead of finishing a welding video and simply hoping people watch it, creators will increasingly be able to analyze the pacing, structure, title, thumbnail, and opening hook before putting the video in front of an audience. YouTube is also introducing Shorts Series, allowing creators to organize related Shorts into episodes and seasons, which could work particularly well for project builds, shop series, welding tips, tool testing, or step by step fabrication projects.
What this means for your business
Take one project you are already working on and turn it into a series instead of one video. For example, a fabrication project could become “Part 1: Cutting,” “Part 2: Fit Up,” “Part 3: Welding,” and “Part 4: Finished Project.” You do not need a complicated production setup. The important part is creating a reason for someone who watches the first video to come back for the next one.
