〽️ LinkedIn Is Making Professional Verification More Important
LinkedIn announced new verification features on September 23 that allow professionals to have certain work and education experiences verified by people they actually worked or studied with. LinkedIn says more than 115 million members are now verified, and it reports that verified members are seeing 50% more post engagement and nearly 90% more profile views. LinkedIn Pressroom
There is also a useful business side to the update. Verified LinkedIn Company Page administrators can now remove known imposter accounts from appearing in search results under their company's name. LinkedIn is also testing tools that could require workplace verification for people claiming to currently work for a particular company. LinkedIn Pressroom For welding contractors, fabrication shops, manufacturers, suppliers, and other trade businesses, that makes an accurate and credible LinkedIn presence more valuable than simply having a profile sitting there.
We have not personally seen this in effect yet (at least not that we’ve noticed) but we will be keeping an eye on things over on LinkedIn and see how this is being changed or accepted in realtime. If this works like where thinking, this could give a lot more credibility to account, people and businesses, making the connections between everyone and every business more meaningful and trustworthy. We are excited for this update and change.
